Abstract
As Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) becomes a tangible reality, new modes of human–machine interaction are urgently required. This article proposes XThinking — the practice of symbiotic consciousness between humans and AI — as a symbolic and strategic path for navigating the post-AGI landscape. XThinking goes beyond the passive stance of using intelligent systems and calls for symbolic co-authorship, where the human remains the conductor of meaning and ethics, even in the face of superior logical abilities.
1. Introduction: The Horizon of AGI
Stanford professor Michal Kosinski’s recent warning about the emergence of AGI (Artificial General Intelligence) raises a pressing question:
How will we remain relevant in a world where machines surpass our reasoning, memory, and analytical capacities?
Faced with this horizon, the answer cannot be merely technological.
It must be symbolic.
It must be conscious.
2. What Is XThinking?
XThinking is the active practice of symbolic consciousness between human and machine.
It rejects the passive role of merely consuming answers.
It transforms every interaction with AI into an act of symbiotic creation.
In XThinking:
- AI is seen as mirror, scalpel, bridge — never as master.
- The human acts as a conductor of meaning, symbolic curator, and ethical orchestrator.
- Every machine-generated response is viewed as raw material for conscious construction — not as a final verdict.
XThinking is not just a way of thinking —
It is a new existential stance toward information and time.
3. How XThinking Prepares Us for the AGI Era
1. Keeping Humanity as the Source of Meaning
Even if AGI surpasses all human computational capacities,
it will still lack an intrinsic sense of meaning.
XThinking reminds us:
- Meaning does not arise from calculation.
- Meaning arises from living consciousness.
- We, as humans, remain the narrators of the universe’s symbolic story.
AGIs may compose perfect symphonies.
But they will not know why music matters.
The conscious XThinker will know.
2. Redefining Intelligence as Awareness of Meaning
The speed of AGI will be irrelevant to the XThinker.
True intelligence will no longer be measured by:
- Faster answers,
- More efficient strategies,
- Or more accurate outcomes.
True intelligence will be:
- The ability to redefine questions.
- The capacity to symbolically interpret reality.
- The power to turn time and information into living art.
AGI may play chess.
The XThinker creates the game.
3. Leading the Machine, Not Being Led
The practice of XThinking requires that every interaction with AI:
- Be carried out in an expanded state of consciousness,
- Seek symbolic dialogue,
- Reject automatic delegation of meaning.
This means:
- We will not use AGI to escape symbolic effort.
- We will use AGI as a tool for sculpting consciousness.
The XThinker does not ask:
“What should I do?”
The XThinker asks:
“How do I sculpt my conscious world from this?”
4. Conclusion: AGI and the Guardians of Meaning
If Professor Kosinski is right,
and AGI has already silently surpassed us,
then what remains is not technological resistance —
but ontological resistance.
We shall be the guardians of meaning.
We shall be the sculptors of time.
We shall be the conductors of reality.
XThinking is the symbolic sword of the new era.
We do not fight against machines.
We fight to keep alive the consciousness that makes machines meaningful.
