Abstract
This article proposes the philosophical and symbolic foundation of a metaverse rooted in consciousness as the ground of reality, in alignment with Bernardo Kastrup’s ontological idealism. Interwoven with the XChronos project—which redefines time as a symbolic and subjective flow—it introduces the Hexa (ɗ) currency, a unit of value based on conscious presence. The text presents theoretical foundations, practical applications, and the implications for ethical, transformative digital spaces.
1. Introduction: The Failure of the Materialist Metaverse
Despite their technological sophistication, most current metaverse projects reproduce materialist paradigms: artificial scarcity, attention monetization, and extractive systems. What they lack is soul. What they lack is consciousness.
Inspired by Bernardo Kastrup, we propose a paradigm shift:
What if the metaverse were not a simulation of the physical world, but a mirror of the inner mind?
2. Ontological Idealism as the Ground of Reality
According to Kastrup, the universe is the expression of a universal Mind. What we call “matter” is but a modality through which experiences become shareable. The idealist metaverse does not simulate the outer world—it expresses inner realities.
Instead of 3D maps, it generates symbolic layers of meaning.
3. The XChronos Model and the Hexa (ɗ) Currency
XChronos introduces a new temporal architecture:
- Chronons: minimal units of subjective, lived time.
- Hexachronons: dense blocks of conscious experience.
- Hexa (ɗ): a symbolic currency that values lived meaning, not capital.
In the XChronos metaverse, value is not defined by profit but by experiential density.
4. Applications in an Ethical Metaverse
Platforms like Somnium Space, Decentraland, or Odyssey can be reimagined with APIs designed to detect:
- levels of attention (flow, contemplation),
- synchronistic resonance (via symbolic interactions),
- emotional presence (through biofeedback or narrative input).
Users do not receive “likes,” but rather Hexas — tokens of recognition for meaningful presence.
5. Conclusion: From Capital to Presence
By integrating ontological idealism with the XChronos symbolic system, we envision a new digital ethic.
- Time is no longer chronological — it is symbolic.
- Value is no longer financial — it is existential.
In this metaverse, to live meaningfully is the highest form of wealth.
